Destiny.
This past Sunday at church a young girl was baptized. Before she went into the makeshift “baptistry” in our warehouse church building, the pastor had a few words to share with her. Words about her destiny with the Lord…that He had one for her…that she would accomplish much for His Kingdom, through His power and love. And he prayed that he could witness the fulfillment of that destiny for her life now and over the years.
Powerful words…
Words that brought tears of joy to my eyes because it was no coincidence that that same morning was when Greg and I would be sharing our testimony of how the Lord is sending us from Texas to Hawaii in just a few short days.
It was a morning of two destinies on the brink of fulfillment.
One, the very beginning of the journey with the obedient and powerful act of being baptized. And for us the beginning of the journey to fulfill the Lord’s call to ”go” and make disciples in the nations.
(Of course we’ve been doing that here, in my hometown, but now it’s time to go).
A destiny fulfilled is a beautiful thing.
Happy Adventur-ing!
